Everbuild Brick & Patio Cleaner is an acid-based cleaning solution for removing cementitious and mineral-based contamination from masonry and hard landscaping surfaces. It is intended for use on brickwork, concrete, paving slabs and similar mineral substrates where mortar residues, efflorescence or ingrained dirt are present. The product is supplied as a liquid and can be applied by brush or spray, followed by rinsing with water. Suitable for cleaning brickwork, patios, garages and concrete floors prior to or during maintenance work.
Overview
Everbuild Brick & Patio Cleaner is a fast-acting, acid-based liquid cleaning product for mineral construction surfaces. It is formulated for use on brickwork, concrete and paving where cement residues, mortar staining, efflorescence and ingrained dirt need to be removed. The product is supplied ready for use and may also be diluted where required, depending on substrate sensitivity and site conditions.
Intended Use
The product is intended for cleaning stains from brickwork, concrete and earthenware surfaces. It is suitable for use on patios, garages and factory floors, and can be used as a stain remover on brickwork and concrete substrates.
Product Characteristics
Everbuild Brick & Patio Cleaner removes mortar, cement residues and efflorescence from mineral surfaces. It is suitable for use on concrete, brickwork, patios, paving and garages. The cleaner also removes ingrained dirt, oil and most paints from suitable substrates. The product contains an active acid content of up to 9.9%.
Application Instructions
Prior to full application, a small inconspicuous test area must always be carried out. The product is applied neat unless dilution is required for sensitive substrates. Adjacent surfaces should be masked to prevent damage, and plants and grass protected from overspray or runoff.
Application is carried out by brushing or spraying the cleaner onto the surface and working it into the stain. The product should be left on the surface for 15–20 minutes, after which the area should be scrubbed using a hard-bristled brush. The surface must then be washed down thoroughly with water, preferably using a hose, before the product dries. Care should be taken to prevent residues from entering freshwater courses.
Substrate Considerations and Limitations
On very sensitive surfaces, a trial dilution of 1:2 (cleaner to water) is recommended prior to full application. The product may cause discolouration on certain coloured paving flags and blocks; testing on an unobtrusive area is required before use on these substrates.
Surfaces must always be washed down after treatment. When used internally, care should be taken to protect surrounding materials. The suitability of the product for a specific application is the responsibility of the user.
Storage and Handling
The product is supplied in unopened containers with a shelf life of 24 months from the date of manufacture. It must be stored in cool, dry conditions away from direct sunlight, between +5°C and +40°C. Contact with bleach or strong alkalis must be avoided, and the product should be stored locked away from children.
Health and Safety
Users must refer to the most recent Safety Data Sheet before use. The Safety Data Sheet provides information on handling, storage, disposal and safety-related properties of the product. Suitable protective equipment must be worn during use.
