RetroMesh ESPS/M103 Green is a high-performance E-Glass reinforcement fabric designed for external wall insulation and façade systems. With 165 g/m² weight, 4x4 mm mesh size and excellent tensile strength, it provides durable crack resistance and surface stability. Alkali-resistant and plasticiser-free, it ensures long-lasting reliability in ETIC systems and façade repairs. Ideal for reinforcing render and repairing cracked plaster surfaces.
RetroMesh ESPS/M103 Green is a professional-grade reinforcement fabric engineered for superior durability and performance in External Thermal Insulation Composite Systems (ETICS) and façade refurbishment. Manufactured from high-quality E-glass, it is ETAG approved, providing reassurance of compliance with European technical standards for façade reinforcement applications.
With a basis weight of 165 g/m² (±5% according to DIN EN 12127) and a balanced 4x4 mm mesh size, RetroMesh delivers the optimum combination of strength, workability and reinforcement coverage. The product is alkali-resistant, plasticiser-free and features a non-slip surface, which simplifies handling and installation.
A key feature of RetroMesh is its exceptional tensile strength: in both warp and weft directions, the mesh achieves approximately 2200 N/5 cm when delivered, maintaining at least 50% of this performance even after prolonged exposure in alkaline environments. This ensures the fabric retains integrity and function within reinforced plaster systems, where alkaline conditions are common.
RetroMesh is supplied in convenient roll dimensions of 1 m width and 50 m length, equating to 50 m² coverage per roll. Other dimensions are available upon request. The green shade allows clear identification during installation.
Applications
The product is intended as a reinforcement fabric for the formation of surface reinforcement layers within ETIC systems. It is equally suitable for the repair of cracked plaster on façades, providing structural stability and reducing the likelihood of recurring surface damage.
At building openings such as windows and doors, RetroMesh can be combined with additional diagonal reinforcement (fabric arrows or lintel corner brackets) to strengthen vulnerable stress points. Its use is also guided by the recommendations of WTA leaflet 2-4 (Edition: 08.2014/D), which outlines best practices for the rehabilitation of plaster, including cracks caused by execution or substrate conditions.
Installation Considerations
RetroMesh should be embedded in the upper third of the still-open reinforcement compound, laid evenly without creases or bubbles. Fabric joints must overlap by at least 10 cm to ensure continuous reinforcement.
The rolls should be stored upright in dry conditions between -10°C and +50°C, protected from direct sunlight to prevent damage prior to use.
Sustainability and Compliance
Benx promotes responsible recycling of its product packaging, including tubs, lids, and wire handles, which are fully recyclable. RetroMesh itself is compliant with ETAG standards for ETIC systems, underlining its suitability for professional, specification-driven projects.
