The PVC Clip-on Bead with Mesh 10 mm is a specialist profile developed for external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS), serving as a key component in ensuring clean, uniform horizontal finishes. Designed to clip directly onto aluminium base profiles, this bead simplifies installation while improving the durability and appearance of the reinforced edge.

Constructed from rigid PVC with an integrated E-glass mesh, the product combines long-term stability with essential reinforcement properties. The E-glass mesh is ETAG-approved and features a 4 × 4 mm mesh size, offering high tensile strength and excellent resistance to alkalis. Additionally, the fabric is slip-resistant, providing better handling and adhesion during application.

This profile is engineered specifically to maintain a consistent plaster thickness of 10 mm at the lower edge of insulation boards. By doing so, it ensures a robust and visually clean finish that aligns with best practices in ETICS installations. It also enhances mechanical performance by securing the reinforcement layer in a high-stress area—the transition point between the insulation system and the aluminium base profile.

Installation is straightforward: once the insulation boards and base profiles are in place, the clip-on bead is affixed to the upstand of the base profile. The mesh strip is then embedded into the reinforcing mortar, ensuring a secure bond. It is critical to overlap the surface mesh by at least 10 cm, extending to the kink in the drip edge. This drip edge functions as a precise pull-off line for the reinforcement layer, contributing to a sharp, well-defined termination.

The product comes in 250 cm lengths, with a 10 cm wide mesh strip, and is packaged in cartons of 20. It is available in white to blend seamlessly with most ETICS systems. For optimal storage, cartons should be laid flat in dry rooms and kept away from direct sunlight.

Compliance with system-specific technical data sheets and general ETICS standards is required. This ensures compatibility and proper integration with certified external insulation systems.
