PVC stop bead with mesh for forming 6 mm plaster edges and defining terminations in decorative and fine plaster applications. Manufactured from rigid PVC with perforations and an integrated E-glass mesh. Suitable for use within ETICS where a defined render stop and reinforcement interface is required.
This PVC stop bead with mesh (item number 2051) is designed to create a defined lateral termination for plaster finishes and fillers within ETICS applications. It incorporates a rigid PVC profile with perforations and an E-glass reinforcing mesh to support integration into filler or reinforcing compounds. The mesh has a specified size of 4×4 mm and holds ETAG approval. The bead provides a defined 6 mm plaster thickness and is available in lengths of 200 cm and 250 cm.
Features and Characteristics
The profile is manufactured from rigid PVC containing hole perforations intended to support embedment and adhesion within the reinforcement layer. The attached E-glass mesh is alkali-resistant, plasticiser-free, slip-resistant, and has high tensile strength. These properties support correct integration within ETICS reinforcement layers when installed in accordance with system guidance. The product is white in colour, with an overall width of approximately 11 cm.
Intended Applications
The bead is intended for forming the edges of plaster finishes, providing lateral delimitation for decorative and fine plasters. It is used within ETIC systems where a fixed plaster thickness and defined termination are required. When forming the surface reinforcement, the surface mesh is guided up to the deduction edge before the finishing render is applied following the prescribed standing time.
Preparation
The laying edge must be clean, dry, firm, load-bearing, straight, and free from separating substances. These conditions ensure that the bead can be correctly positioned and integrated into the reinforcement layer.
Installation
The profile is embedded into the filler or reinforcing compound with overlap onto the surface mesh. The mesh of the bead is integrated with the reinforcement fabric to create a continuous reinforced surface up to the bead’s deduction edge. Once the reinforcement layer has reached the stated standing time, the finishing render can be applied. All installation must follow the applicable standards, regulations, and ETICS system owner’s technical guidance.
Storage
Cartons must be stored flat in dry indoor areas and protected from direct sunlight to maintain the condition of the PVC and mesh components.
Additional Notes
Use must comply with relevant ETICS standards, regulations, and processing guidelines as required by the system supplier. The product information advises adherence to all general rules of construction technology and valid guidelines.
