Sika Wonder Wipes are multi-use cleaning wipes for the building trade. They are intended for cleaning hands, tools, and non-porous surfaces by removing wet and semi-cured paint, sealants, adhesives, bitumen, expanding foam, oil, grease, and silicone. The wipes are formulated for use where water is not available on site.
Suitable for use during construction, installation, and maintenance activities.
Sika Wonder Wipes are cleaning wipes developed for use by professional trades. They are supplied as pre-moistened wipes in tubs and flow packs, with an additional liquid spray format for surface cleaning and re-wetting wipes during use. The product range is intended for the removal of wet and semi-cured construction materials from hands, tools, and non-porous surfaces.
Product Overview
The wipes are used to clean residues of paints, sealants, adhesives, bitumen, polyurethanes, expanding foams, polyester fillers, epoxies, oils, grease, and silicone. They are intended for situations where access to water is limited or unavailable.
Certain variants contain an anti-bacterial additive that has been tested by an independent laboratory to EN1276 for chemical disinfectants and antiseptics. Some variants also contain aloe vera to condition skin and reduce dryness and cracking.
Uses
Sika Wonder Wipes are used for removing wet and semi-cured construction materials from:
-
Hands
-
Tools
-
Non-porous surfaces
They are not intended for use on porous surfaces such as untreated wood.
Application Method
Open the lid and closure seal. Locate the start of the wipe roll at the centre and pull through approximately 300mm of wipes. Thread through the lid opening and reseal immediately after use to reduce drying out.
Storage and Shelf Life
The wipes must be stored in cool, dry conditions, away from direct sunlight, between +5°C and +25°C. Storage outside these conditions may reduce shelf life.
Shelf life depends on the product variant and is defined from the date of manufacture and from opening, as detailed in the Technical Data section.
Limitations and Handling
-
Do not use on porous surfaces such as untreated wood
-
Do not dispose of wipes in toilets
-
Use only as directed
-
Store only in the original container
Users with sensitive or damaged skin should avoid prolonged contact. Suitability for the intended application remains the responsibility of the user.
Health and Safety
The wipes are classed as cosmetic products and do not require a Safety Data Sheet. The spray format is supplied with a Safety Data Sheet containing physical, ecological, toxicological, and safety information.
