Versatile Applications

The paint is suitable for a wide range of mineral substrates, including smooth and textured renders, sandlime brick finishes, traditional brickwork, and other mineral-based surfaces. In addition, it is recommended as a renovation paint for external wall insulation systems, where maintaining vapour permeability and long-term durability is essential.

Unlike conventional paints that trap moisture, it allows walls to breathe while simultaneously repelling water. The paint is non-thermoplastic and stress-free, contributing to a stable finish even under thermal fluctuations.

Aesthetic and Colour Stability

Cantillana’s façade paint is available in standard white or as Granosil’color across a full colour range. To ensure consistency, it is recommended that previous and new deliveries be mixed when reordering due to possible slight variations from natural raw materials and drying conditions. For use with EWI systems, darker shades (with a brightness value below 20) should be avoided to maintain performance and surface stability.

Application and Handling

The product is supplied ready for manual or spray application, making it convenient for professional site use. For best results:

• Substrates should be flat, stable, clean, and dry, with loose or damaged areas removed and repaired.

• Application should not take place below +5°C (air and substrate), and surfaces should be protected from torrential rain, direct sun, wind, and rapid drying during application.

• Stir thoroughly before use, and clean all tools immediately after application with water.
  
  

Recommended system build-up:

• Primer: Granol’plus IG or Granol’plus W

• First coat: Granosil’color diluted up to 10% with water

• Top coat: Granosil’color diluted up to 5% with water

Windows, sills, and adjacent surfaces should be protected during works to prevent contamination.

The paint is water-dilutable and environmentally friendly, offering a low-impact alternative that aligns with modern sustainability standards while delivering reliable, long-lasting protection.
