Rawlplug R-TFIX-8S Insulation Fixing
Brand: RawlplugR-TFIX-8S is a screw-in façade fixing for securing insulation materials as part of External Thermal Insulation Composite Systems (ETICS). It is designed for use in concrete, brick, lightweight concrete and aerated concrete substrates, with embedment depths stated for each material category. Suitable for fixing EPS, mineral wool, polyurethane, cork and light wood wool insulation boards.
R-TFIX-8S is a screw-in façade fixing intended for attaching insulation boards within External Thermal Insulation Composite Systems (ETICS). It consists of an 8mm fixing with a 60mm plate diameter and is supplied pre-assembled for installation. The product holds European Technical Assessment ETA 17/0161.
The fixing includes a plastic over-moulded screw designed to limit point thermal transmittance, with declared values between 0.001–0.002W/K. Installation
The installation process consists of:

Drilling the specified hole diameter and depth (8mm diameter; 35mm minimum depth for categories A–D; 75mm for AAC).

Cleaning the drilled hole three times.

Positioning the fixing and pressing the plate to the insulation surface.

Achieving the minimum embedment depth (25mm for A–D substrates, 65mm for AAC).

Driving the screw with axial pressure until the disc contacts the insulation surface.
Minimum spacing and edge distances are each 100mm across all listed substrates. Substrate thickness requirements vary and are documented in the installation data table.
Performance Data
Performance values are provided for single anchors without edge or spacing influence. These include mean ultimate loads, characteristic loads, design loads and recommended loads across different substrates. Values range, for example, from 0.32kN to 0.54kN recommended load depending on material category and embedment depth. AAC data is based on a 65mm embedment depth; other materials use 25mm.
Sizes
Lengths range from 115mm to 455mm with corresponding recommended insulation thicknesses for substrate categories A–D and E. Plate diameter remains constant at 60mm for all sizes.
